Steph Du Preez, BS, CDBC, CPDT-KA is a Certified Dog Behavior Consultant with 20 years experience working with animals. She has been focused on animals with behavior concerns for the past 10 years, and is also a Certified Professional Dog Trainer. She has worked with shelters and rescues in MA, AZ, and CA, and was most recently Manager of Behavior Services at Dakin Humane Society in Springfield, MA. She has been working for herself for the past couple years while home with her small children, and she is excited to be back at Andover Animal Hospital where she started her journey 20 years ago. Appointments available on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.

Services Offered:

Behavior Consultations with written behavior plans for dogs with:
- Aggressive Behaviors towards: humans, dogs, cats, other domestic species
- Fear based Issues, Feral dogs
- Thunderstorm/Fireworks/Noise based phobias
- Leash Reactivity
- Resource Guarding
- Separation Anxiety
- Difficulty with handling/veterinary appointments
- Integrating a new pet (history of aggression)

Basic Obedience, Puppy Training and Socialization offered:
- Come, Sit, Stay, Down, Loose Leash Walking, Place, etc
- Handling exercises
- Preparing for baby
- Integrating a new pet (no aggression history)

Desensitization appointments for:
- Muzzle training
- Cooperative care such as: nail trimming or nail board, restraint, blood draws/vaccines, ear cleaning/medication application, etc.
